The most common error I see Solavei members make is keeping track of someone’s CED, or Contract End Date. The problem with this is that 2 months prior to this date, the carrier begins to draw the customer back in with emails about new devices, better plans, faster speeds and additional free offerings. That, plus they will let them come in at 22 months and pick that new phone up and just extend their current contract for 2 years. By the time that little reminder goes off, your potential customer has resigned and has a flashy new phone that they can no longer return.
Instead, set an upgrade date for your customer. Begin with a date 2 months in front of their CED so you can beat the carrier to the punch. Send an email letting them know that they will be getting these “Great Offers” to continue to pay $100+ more a month for their cell phone. Let them know that that “Free” phone will costs $500-1200 over what an unlocked handset would cost them with all the extra they pay their current carrier.
Then push the options for Solavei and how it can save them money right off the bat. With devices like those found at our partner site, a new Solavei member can land a great smartphone for $100-200 and get state of the art performance for under $350, all without contracts. For a savings example, that “Free” phone on Verizon Wireless along with that two year contract will run nearly $3200.00. The Solavei equivalent to this with a $229.99 Blue Studio II 5.3 handset is $1657.99 after taxes. This leaves $650 to buy a new handset a year in, like that new Galaxy S IV (or even the Galaxy S V by this time next year) and still walk away with almost $1000 in savings!
Don’t wait until an end date to reach your friends and family. Reach them now and show them the savings. Show them how much more they get with Solavei and how much they can save today. Paying off that $350 termination fee over the next three months may not sound so bad after all when you can save $65 a month!
