Access A Menu Option That Is Not There To Make Solavei Work Right?

I am a Windows Phone user. I have been for years now, not that anyone should hold that against me. In my dive into the weekly wonders that is the Solavei support board, I found this hidden gem right in their device setup area. It all looks great, until you are holding a Windows Phone… Then you start having issues.

To make the long story short, the setup they are attempting will only work on Nokia/Microsoft Mobile devices that have the Access Point software installed. Devices from HTC, Samsung, Blu and Yezz won’t have this menu option available. In fact, currently only some Nokia’s have it available as well without downloading it from the hidden link in the Windows Phone Store.

So, once again, Solavei will have, OK, I’ll admit it, 3 angry users because they can’t setup their phones for the network. This has nothing to do with the phone not actually working, but that many of the manufacturers have their own software that will edit the APN’s for the device. Most of the carriers don’t include this in the firmware because they do not want you using that ‘free’ phone on another network.
