Blu Life 8 Goes On Presale For $199.00

Blu Life 8

When looking for an ultra slim smartphone powered by an Octa-Core processor, the market doesn’t have much to offer. Now add in a 5” HD display that is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, an 8MP camera and 1GB of RAM, you have something that might cost $500 without that precious long term contract. Fortunately, Blu Products doesn’t think like that, and consumers can be the winner. The Blu LIFE 8 is currently on presale.

The Blu LIFE 8 is a smart choice for anyone looking for a bit more screen real estate, but doesn’t want to make the jump to a full phablet style handset. The 5” display delivers sharp images, crisp text and performs flawlessly when streaming video. The Blu LIFE 8 also features a good camera and that ever popular MicroSD slot to expand the 8GB of storage that is on-board the device.

The Blu LIFE 8 is a great choice for AT&T MVNO’s like Red Pocket Mobile. The HSPA+21 radio is equipped with the 850 and 1900 bands, which also means that it will work well with Spot Mobile and Simple Mobile in those markets where T-Mobile was able to refarm their 1900Mhz band.

The Blu LIFE 8 is shipping with Android 4.2, which is a bit of a blemish, but it states that it will be upgraded to Kit Kat (Android 4.4) at some point. For those looking to upgrade their device without renewing that 2 year deal, the Blu LIFE 8 at $199 is quite the steal.
