I’ve been out of the Solavei system now for over two months and I am not regretting my move to Spot Mobile at all. First off, let’s compare apples to apples as far as the plans go.
Solavei offers unlimited talk, text and data with 4G data being capped at 4GB. This runs $59.60 per month after taxes and fees. There is no international talk time included with this package.
Spot Mobile offers 3 different unlimited plans. These start at $39.99 a month for unlimited talk, text and data with 500MB at 4G speeds. The second offers an additional 500MB of data and unlimited international calling to select countries and a $10 credit to those not on the list for $49.99. Finally at $59.99, or a straight even match up with the pricing at Solavei, you get the same unlimited talk, text and 2GB of 4G data… Plus, unlimited international calling to select countries and a $20 credit to those that aren’t free.
My decision to make the move seems even more justified when I see responses in the Solavei Support Forums that are just absurd. One user posted that they needed to have their billing cycle delayed as they already ported their number but was now waiting for an unlock code for their phone. The Solavei Rep replied that they tried to call and left a message for him. Um, HE DOESN’T HAVE A PHONE! Thanks though.
As I watch more and more users become frustrated with Solavei and their over promising and under-delivering method of attracting users, I realize that saving cash is a guarantee and earning it is not. For those of you that have built a solid business out of it, I hope you can keep your numbers as cheaper and better plans are constantly rolling out. If you find yourself in the same boat as me, and you get to the point that you are losing your trios faster than you can replace them, make sure you check out www.4gfastdata.com for some other options.
