For the last few months, I've been able to tether my Toshiba Thrive tablet and Acer netbook to my Solavei service with my Windows Phone internet sharing feature. Suddenly, one day, it just stopped working. When asked about the feature in their support forums, Solavei reps came up with the standard, "Tethering is not s supported feature of our service."
That said, if it never was a supported feature, why did it work at first? And if it wasn't supported, why did it suddenly turn off as T-Mobile released their new Simple Choice plans that include tethering?
Sounds like T-Mobile is trying to control things a bit more on their end, for now. That said, Solavei still offers the best deal on data by a long shot. The $60 price tags of T-Mobile's Simple Choice plan still includes just over half the data that Solavei does.
